Vehicles in German Town Found Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Police Confirm

Incident location Affected vehicle Local Law Enforcement
Authorities stated they were contacted by a individual who discovered a vehicle in Hanau covered with red-colored fluid

Roughly 50 automobiles have been smeared with what appears to be human blood in the Germany's town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Cars, walls and postal boxes were defaced, sometimes with prohibited symbols, they stated in a statement.

Law enforcement say they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday, when a man discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored fluid.

The substance had been placed in the pattern of a swastika, they reported.

Officers then found numerous other smeared automobiles and building exteriors in the surrounding area.

These symbols are banned in Germany under laws banning the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.

Police report early analysis indicate the liquid was probably human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no indication as to its origin; authorities are not yet aware of any injuries in connection with the occurrence," they stated.

Local authorities stated they were trying "to unravel the incident" and have asked to the community for information.

A senior official commented the vandalism made him speechless and required to be addressed quickly.

"This event hits the core of Hanau and reawakens the trauma of the right-wing terrorist attack five years ago," he posted on a platform, referring to the killing of nine people by a shooter targeting people of foreign heritage in 2020.
